The show “On my Own terms – Self-taught artists” at the Rotunda aims to inspire aspiring artists among the audiences that will come to see it, and beyond, through online presence and the catalogue.
No matter their circumstances and roles in society, the artists in this show pursued their calling and have dedicated time, resources and efforts to expressing themselves through their art.
Whether they became world renowned and reached the pinnacle of a system, or whether they only had a few shows, whether they make a living through their art or still need a ‘daytime’ job, they are active artists.
